On March 17, 2015, the Virginia Board of Game and Inland Fisheries proposed amendments to regulations governing hunting, trapping, and terrestrial wildlife in Virginia. The proposed amendments will be posted on the VDGIF website and public comments will be solicited from April 8 to May 22, 2015.

Comments will be able to be submitted directly through the VDGIF website. Citizens’ comments submitted during the comment period will be provided to the Board and to staff. At the Board’s June 2, 2015 meeting staff will make final recommendations regarding the proposals, the Board will receive additional public comment, and the Board will take final action on the proposals at that time. The resulting amendments will govern the 2015–2016 and 2016–2017 hunting and trapping seasons.
