The Chairman of the House Agriculture, Chesapeake, and Natural Resources Committee directed the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to study concerns about the kill permit system for deer, bear, and other types of wildlife damage. Completed during fall 2011, the kill permit study involved citizen participation, provided technical background information, identified issues, and recommended strategies to address issues with kill permits and their issuance.
