The Cam is Back Up and Running!
We are pleased to share that the Richmond Falcon Cam is back up and running! The equipment issues are now, hopefully, fully resolved.
Our staff observed the peregrine falcon pair yesterday while they were at the Riverfront Plaza building and working on the camera equipment.
Unfortunately, there are no eggs to report yet.
However, between today and the last visit to repair the camera equipment (on April 29th), our staff found the remains of varied prey items scattered about the ledge by the peregrine falcons. The prey species found on these visits included yellow-billed cuckoo, a rail (most likely a clapper rail), American woodcock, red-winged blackbird, Northern flicker, and great crested flycatcher.
