Dredging Project to Begin at Osborne Landing

Richmond, VA — The Virginia Department Wildlife Resources (DWR) will be temporarily closing Osborne Landing from January 25, 2021 – March 1, 2021. This closing will allow for the dredging of sediment that has built up in the basin and is currently impeding boat traffic.

Throughout the dredging process, the boat landing will be closed to the public for launch and retrieving. For access to the river during this closure, please use the boating access sites at Deep Bottom in Henrico County, or Dutch Gap in Chesterfield County.

This work is taking place during the off season to lessen the impact on the public and to adhere to migratory fish time-of-year restrictions, allowing for the facility to open and be operational just in time for the spring 2021 fishing and boating season.

For more information, please contact the DWR Project Manager Ed Carr at 804-367-8311.
