Public Boating Access: Pound River

The Pound River site is approximately one quarter acre located along the Pound River in Dickenson County. The site can be accessed from the parking area off of State Route 631. Allowed activities include launching and retrieving kayaks and canoes, bank fishing during daylight hours, wildlife viewing, photography and trapping. The downstream takeout for this float trip on the Pound River is at the Bear Pen Recreation Area operated by Dickenson County.
