Red Onion

The Red Onion property is approximately 105 acres located in Dickenson County. The site can be accessed from highway 83 next to the Ralph Stanley wayside at the Wise County/Dickenson County line between Pound and Clintwood. Allowed activities include hunting, hiking, trapping and wildlife viewing. The site contains a variety of habitats including, wetlands, streams, as well as early successional and forest habitat. The property provides hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game. Dogs are permitted on site but must be leashed, unless they are being used for hunting and/or training.
