Public Boating Access: Steep Rock

The Steep Rock access is approximately 4 acres and is located at the confluence of Wallen Creek and the Powell River in Lee County. The site can be accessed from Hurricane Road. Allowed activities include bank fishing during daylight hours, wildlife viewing and launching and retrieving canoes and kayaks. This site also offers bank fishing opportunities in a nice section of the Powell River. The property includes the section of Wallen Creek between the Powell River and the bridge on Hurricane Road. This section provides excellent opportunities to explore the creek.
