Everyone loves pizza. Especially when it’s made with hot deer sausage. Whether serving it for a crowd, or serving it for two, pizza is always comes first on the list of mid-week dinner options. And, it makes the perfect leftover lunch meal for tomorrow. The best part about homemade pizza is getting to choose what goes on it, but venison sausage is an essential ingredient for this pizza. It’s lean, spicy, and pairs perfectly with the cheese and roasted vegetable toppings.

How to Prepare
- Set out pizza dough for 1 hour prior to preparing! Set oven to 350 degrees.
- While the dough is setting out, prepare your toppings: Brown the venison sausage in a skillet. Break-up the meat until it resembles crumbles and bite-sized pieces. Remove from skillet and set aside when it is browned. Caramelize the onions (and other vegetables if you desire) in a skillet with olive oil.
- When the dough is ready, roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
- When the dough is shaped and rolled out, cover a sheet pan with olive oil and put the dough on the pan. Cover the dough with the pizza sauce, and cover heavily with mozzarella cheese.
- Add the toppings.
- Add more cheese is desired.
- Sprinkle with oregano and Italian spices and more garlic powder.
- Place pizza in oven for 20-25 minutes.
