Proposed Regulation

4VAC15-430-150. Watercraft: Safety Equipment Requirements. Ventilation.

Summary

Strikes most of the entire section regarding engine compartment ventilation requirements on boats due to the fact that the purchaser/user of a boat is held to whatever standards the boat was manufactured under, and such manufacturers are already held to federal watercraft manufacturing standards. This removes the regulatory burden on our boating constituents for something that is already regulated upon manufacturers and boat dealers. This action is also a net 2 mandate reduction.

Proposed Language

Note: In the “Proposed Language” document, underlined text denotes proposed new language, while text with a strikethrough denotes language that is proposed to be deleted.
