Description
The Tidewater Loop is comprised of sites bordering the south bank of the James River and two inland sites that provide a completely different assortment of plants and animals. The riverside sites offer year-round birding, but are especially exciting during spring and fall migrations, and during winter when rafts of waterfowl may be viewed from elevated bluffs in coastal impoundments.
