Locust Shade Park

Catfish Stocked in Urban Fishing Lakes

Located in a Prince William County park (with the same name), this eight-acre pond is one of Virginia’s designated “Urban Fishing Sites”.

Harvestable channel catfish are stocked each spring, and there’s a creel limit of four catfish daily.

The stocked trout phase (November 1 through April 30) includes five stockings and a creel limit of four per day.

There are also resident populations of largemouth bass and bluegill.
