Where to View Wildlife in Virginia

From the Atlantic Ocean on Virginia’s eastern border, to the towering Mt. Rogers at its southwest corner, the Commonwealth includes every bird and animal habitat that occurs naturally between Maine and Florida.

DWR maintains over 200,000 acres of land for the benefit of wildlife and all citizens for a variety of outdoor recreation. Many of these WMAs provide fantastic opportunities for wildlife viewing!
