General Description:
This individual provides regular, ongoing volunteer service at the Region office to assist and support all Divisions.
Specific Duties:
- Greets public at front desk
- Answers phone calls and provides general information and assistance to callers
- Directs callers to appropriate VDGIF staff
- Handles light office duties, including filing, copying, mailings, and other assigned tasks or projects
- Works with VDGIF and CWF staff and other volunteers, to increase public awareness of and participation in the CWF Program
- Conducts self in a manner that reflects positively on VDGIF and CWF
- Exhibits a pleasant phone manner and ability to work well with others
- Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information, and abides by all policies, procedures and regulations
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of generally accepted office practices and procedures
- Ability to use basic office equipment telephones, copier, FAX, postage meter, computer
- Computer literacy and familiarity with generally used software programs is a plus
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Ability to read and accurately interpret agency literature

- Orientation
- On the Job Training
- Advanced as determined by responsibilities undertaken
Time Commitment:
This position requires regular and reliable, ongoing volunteer service, preferably on at least a weekly basis. Weekday availability — no weekends or holidays.
